Ever since I was a kid, I was always running around trying to capture memories with whatever camera I owned – kodak disposables, old polaroids, and a digital camera without a screen [when they first came out!]. I really got interested in photography in high school when I signed up for a film photography class – where I used my trusty Canon AE-1 [that I still own], and developed b+w film and prints in a dark room.
Weddings are my jam! The details, the dress, the locations, tearful and funny speeches, dance parties, and jokes between friends – I love capturing couples on the biggest day of their lives, surrounded by their closest family and friends who all love them. I absolutely enjoy creating family heirlooms for my couples – photographs that their children and grandchildren are going to see!
I grew up in California, and keep it close to my heart. From the beach to the desert and mountains, this is the place that shaped me into who I am today. I was raised in Redondo Beach, and now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
When I’m not photographing people, you can find me hitting the local trails with my husband Cameron, snuggling with our min pin Roxy, eating chips and guac, planning our next camping trip, kayaking in the bay, drawing a bath [bonus points if a lush bath bomb is involved], or reading a good book.
It’s very important to me that couples feel like they can be themselves in front of me and my camera. I strive to make you feel at ease, giving you enough direction so you know what to do but not so much that you feel super posed. I love to create beautiful photographs, while also capturing those candid moments going on in the background. I am a visual storyteller, and I’d love to chat and hear about your own unique story!
